Moodle ↔ Sócrates Integration (Cibertec)

The Challenge

Automate academic processes between the LMS and the internal system (SGA), avoiding double entry and ensuring data consistency (users, courses, and enrolments).

The Solution

We built integration based on Moodle Web Services API:

• Student synchronization (create/update) and course structure.
• Automation of enrolment and unenrolment according to SGA rules.
• Error handling and traceability (logs and controlled retries).
• Batch tests and consistency validation (samples and edge scenarios).

Results

• Significant reduction of manual administration tasks.
• More consistent data between SGA and Moodle.
• Scalable operation for academic cycles with high enrolment turnover.
